Looking for a 6 or 8kg tank. Have a 2kg here but want to go bigger as I'm force carbing these days. Any leads on good tank suppliers?
Thanks.

I got my 6Kg C02 Cylinder from C02Munster in Cork. Very friendly guy. I think there is a crowd that supply Fire extinguishers that have just been filled with C02 in Bray. I preferred having a proper cylinder

John, when you say a brand new valve, is that the real mcoy, turnyroundy one, and not the 2-handled FE one?
:-/
EDIT: Alex, you'll get heaps out a 5kg cylinder.

I have mixed gas bottle that came with a job lot a while back. Do any one know of a friendly barman working in a pub that uses these bottles and would swap an empty for a full with the familiar hand shake that I learnt watching "the wire". ::)

Funny how stuff reads. I saw full, empty, hand, shake, wire.  :D
Careful now, that speed reading will make you go blind. :D

Turnyroundy? 2 handled ? all very technical

If you mean does it looks like this then yes it does

whats the 2 handled jobbie is that just a standard extinguisher?

I need a refill of my 8Kg tank, nicknamed "Bismark" as it looks like an old WWII torpedo. Do you think they'll fill it for tenner and like the property tax they'll turn a blind eye to all those extra acres?

Can transport Alex over while I'm at it. Will be going over some day this week.

there is always one ;D

Yes that's the one John  :)
The 2-handled is the original Fire Ext. handle
That sounds a great deal if it's €25 for 2kg and €40 for 5kg, to include that valve... is that the right price?

im waiting awhile for doyle and doyle to get those valves in.  seems like there was a big increase in people looking for tanks recently

Go to bray - you'll easily save the petrol money, and more, on a refill.
