Title: Priming with a cold crash
Post by: Mr.Bucket on February 01, 2022, 12:07:08 PM
Hi Everyone.
Tonight I'm going to rack my beer into a fresh bucket for a cold crash, my first time doing it.

My plan was to rack tonight and rack into a bottling bucket (Batch priming as I do) in 2/3 days.
Is this right ?

Thanks

I would advise not to do that. Oxygen is now your enemy and transferring into a bucket full of air will add oxygen. Then transfer to a second bucket will add more. Also when you cold crash you will draw in air as well.

Here is a good video of showing just how little amount of oxygen can ruin a beer.
