Guys

Your advice please

I stuck on the Bulldog Evil Dog Double IPA on 23rd August.

23/08/2014 O.G: 1.061
04/09/2014 S.G: 1.010
09/09/2014 Dry Hopped
14/09/2014 S.G: 1.004
15/09/2014 S.G: 1.003 <- Updated

It's been fermenting at 18oC (Temprature Controlled)

It's now day 23 in primary and still bubbling every 90secs or so.

As I didn't expect for this to ferment for so long I never transferred to secondary.
I also expected to be bottling this last weekend, hence dry hopped last week.

My question, what should I do now, I don't want to risk leaving the dry hops in
to long nor do I want to leave it on the yeast cake too long.

I don't think it can go down too much lower.

I'd transfer it to secondary and give it a week somewhere cold to settle out.
1.004 is very low and i doubt it'll drop much more unless its infected

Am I correct to assume if it was infected that there would be some off taste to it, which there isn't.

What temp should is store it at for the week, < 18oC i assume

Just read on a couple of other forums that 1.004 is not uncommon for this kit to drop to.

TheCavanMan

Just transferred to secondary, S.G. is reading 1.003

Again, other have had this type of low low gravity with this kit.

ronnieb

I had that kit drop to below 1002..

It just keeps going..

TheCavanMan

That's crazy, if I don't like the taste of it atleast I can run the car on it. It's around 8.4% abv at the moment.

it had a gentle "kick" to it alright.

Mine turned out too sweet with not enough hop aroma to be honest.

I know, I would have expected very little sweetness

It does go on forever, I bottled too early never transferred to secondary and it turned out muck, too sweet and no hop aroma (was aiming for 2 days dry hop, ended up at 4) will gladly supply some for the IPA fest for a "how not to brew IPA"....
