Yeast starter after only one day

I had intended to brew on Sunday,  so put on a starter last night (only. 55l for a 14litre batch).  But looks like I may be brewing this evening.
I've read of vitality starters,  which go on the stir plate for about 4 hours before use, but this is before fermentation kicks off I assume

Will I be able to use the starter, if it has started fermentation,  or will I need to let it finish its thing before adding it to the cooled wort? ( it will be 24 hours on the stir plate when the wort is ready for it)

You'll be fine you just wont get to decant.

If it's purepitch and fresh you will be fine

Slev

Yep.  Purepitch,  manufacture date 22nd Aug.

You should see lots of bubbles if you turn off stir plate for 30 secs, it's good in any case

Got home to find the stir plate had given up the ghost.  Some slurry in the bottom, forthy head.
Will be fine.  Thanks for the input folks  always appreciated

If stir plate is knackered, gi ve it a shake at intervals, should be ok.
