Title: Yeast harvesting
Post by: davebhoy1975 on April 26, 2020, 09:11:26 AM
I collected some gunk from the leftovers from my fermenter. I added some sterile water. Left for 30 mins or so and then decanted the white watery layer in to another sterile jar with some sterile water. I repeated. The step once more.
I now have a very tiny amount of yeast at the bottom of the jar that doesn't look like it's enough to pitch directly to my normal 23litre brew wort.
Did I wash too many times?
Did I simply start with too little? I think I had around 500ml when starting. You cannot see attachments on this board.
