What are you on about? Styles are baked into the BJCP Guidelines, but the categories aren't: "Individual styles can be grouped in any fashion... to balance out the number of entries in each award category."
So we do that? Yes, styles are chopped + changed into bespoke categories. For example, British Strong (17C) and American Strong (22B) are together under Strong Ale.
How? This section of the Guidelines, mostly:
QuoteAPPENDIX A: ALTERNATE CATEGORIZATIONS 3. Styles Sorted Using Style Family ............................73
Why? Fairness. This way, there is no easy win and no "group of death."
If you have any questions or other concerns, feel free to contact me. And good luck, everyone.

The National Homebrew Club is for everyone who brews.
We're proud to welcome anyone who wants to join. Every member should help create a safe, enjoyable environment, both in person and online.
We also know that all of our social events serve alcohol. That can impair judgment and loosen inhibitions, but people still need to be responsible for themselves. The NHC has a no-tolerance policy for harassment.
Harassment may consist of verbal, visual or physical conduct that is unwelcome, offensive, and/or makes someone feel uncomfortable.
It can take many forms, such as:
Sexual advances, intimidation, and uninvited physical contact or propositions
Derogatory or degrading comments, texts or email messages
Racist, sexist, misogynistic or discriminatory jokes, taunts or pranks
Displays of sexually explicit pictures or pornography
Stalking, bullying, doxxing, and other aggressive behaviour
Anyone experiencing or observing harassment may report it to Thandi Guilherme or use this anonymous form. First incidents automatically trigger a verbal warning. Incidents of violence or repeated violations can lead to suspension or expulsion from the club. Filing a false complaint will be disciplined, too!
We're all here for the beer, so let's remember to treat each other with respect.

Hi Guys, I've a 4-tap Kegland Kegerator X. I'm trying to figure out where to mount a 3 way gas manifold in the fridge . Really reluctant to start drilling holes in the side walls, and leaving the manifold hang loose (as I'm currently doing) is a pain... Has anyone managed to install one of these in their Kegerator without drilling? If so how?.. Thanks
