Hi all

I'm Maebh. I have a short questionnaire on craft beer consumers to do as part of a course I'm doing on entrepreneurship, I was wondering if I could post the questions here and get a few responses. Is this the best place to post it ?

Thanks .

1. Where do you go to buy craft beer?
2. Are you brand loyal ?
3. Does a strong brand help to sell the beer to you or is it all about taste ?
4. How many brands have you tried ?
5. Is buying locally produced beer important to you ?
6. Are you more likely to go for a bottle conditioned beer ?
7. How much is fair value for a 500ml bottle of 'decent' craft beer ?
8. Do you look for unusual flavours in craft beers ?
9. Would you think less of a brand if you saw it in a discount supermarket ?
10. Would you be suspicious to see a premium brand suddenly at a low price ?
10. Have you experienced 'brand fatigue' with all the new beers coming to market ?

Hi Maebh
Nobody will answer your questionnaire in that format on a public forum.

Here's what happened to the last on that came in like that ;)

Create and external Survey using something like https://www.surveymonkey.com/ and post us back the link.
You will get a lot more respondents as its anonymous and have a good read of their tips in its construction https://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/survey-guidelines/?ut_source=header.

Here is an example of the last well constructed survey that was requested recently

Next you are going to tell us "I can't do all that its to be in for Friday" :D

maebhin

ok, thanks for the advice.

1. Where do you go to buy craft beer? off license
2. Are you brand loyal ? no
3. Does a strong brand help to sell the beer to you or is it all about taste ? i buy for the beer but no doubt strong branding does it for others
4. How many brands have you tried ? many
5. Is buying locally produced beer important to you ? secondary to value
6. Are you more likely to go for a bottle conditioned beer ? no, but I am more likely to go for a bottled beer
7. How much is fair value for a 500ml bottle of 'decent' craft beer ? 2.50
8. Do you look for unusual flavours in craft beers ? yes, and if i find them i generally don't buy that brand again
9. Would you think less of a brand if you saw it in a discount supermarket ? no
10. Would you be suspicious to see a premium brand suddenly at a low price ?  more curious than suspicious
10. Have you experienced 'brand fatigue' with all the new beers coming to market ? yes

Given up Coke & Hookers for lent, LE? Sorry, don't know why I capitalised the C and H. Makes it look more like a brand name.

Thanks for finding that first link, CH. Well worth a re-read from time to time!

Most of us will take the time to fill out a survey monkey survey, if you draw one up.

1. Where do you go to buy craft beer? McHugh's Kilbarrack Rd
2. Are you brand loyal ? No.
3. Does a strong brand help to sell the beer to you or is it all about taste ? Branding is important. If an amazing beer came in Tesco Value stripes I wouldn't touch it
4. How many brands have you tried ? Heaps
5. Is buying locally produced beer important to you ? Yes
6. Are you more likely to go for a bottle conditioned beer ? Yes because the types of beer I'm interested in buying are more likely to be bottle conditioned. But I don't think there's anything specifically better about bottle conditioning
7. How much is fair value for a 500ml bottle of 'decent' craft beer ? €2.50
8. Do you look for unusual flavours in craft beers ? Definitely. I like sours
9. Would you think less of a brand if you saw it in a discount supermarket ? No
10. Would you be suspicious to see a premium brand suddenly at a low price ? No
10. Have you experienced 'brand fatigue' with all the new beers coming to market ? No

Check out Tesco's revisionist range. Very basic branding but awesome beers.

beerfly

well the lager does not have a stripe  :P

Simon_

That branding looks fine
If they looked like this would you bring them to bbq?

LordEoin

the "440ml" and "2% volume" put me off more than the stripe  ;)
