A gold medal winning vienna lager with no pilsner, vienna or munich malt. Gotta love that  8)
Every little helps

And here was me thinking you were some kind of brewing maverick!

Congrats on the gold medal. It's a nice looking recipe.

It amazes me how easy going grain bills are for the gold winners. I guess i need to concentrate more on the KISS method.

Was just thinking that earlier great isn't it!!

Score was 37, IBU's were slightly high. Water had calcium, chloride and Sulfates at about 75ppm. Was going with a simple receipt as it was my first time brewing a Vienna Larger.

Tasted this on the day and it was by far the best beer in the dark lager category. Brewing a Vienna tomorrow with almost the same grain bill and different yeast so would be delighted if it turned out as well.

Just curious, how did you ferment this? Traditional slow ferment or quick lager method etc.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

It was 3 weeks after brewing then I kegged. Stated drinking a week after kegging. It was at its best about 6 weeks later.
