A bit like our own wrt the March competition, the BJCP website can be a bit all over the place, but this is worth reading

Hmmm....Not doing the course but that link is very informative in terms of the direction given. Some of which seems to be more about limiting the judges exposure to criticism/review than providing best feedback to the brewer.
Kinda like giving yes/no answers only.
