Judges apparently looking for whiskey, but we deliberately left our's to age out.

Did ye have much whiskey in your barrel? We had about 1/2 litre in our barrel that is still sitting on it and I would be curious to know how your barrel compared to ours?

Hi Tube,

Interesting as ours has been in the barrel since June of last year, almost 9 months in total. We had about 500mls of 60% whiskey but without a doubt the barrel itself must have held some more in the timbers. Our barrel was a 220litre monster. The most recent taste I had from it I thought the whiskey had almost disappeared but CH reckoned there was a major bang off it. Shows what I know  :

I think the whiskey is quite pronounced in the liffey barrel.
