Title: Yeast starter
Post by: Donny on January 15, 2017, 05:09:41 PM
Hey everyone,
Attempting to make an imperial stout with a SG of 1.090. It's only going to be a one gallon batch and usually I wouldn't make a starter for something as small as it nearly is a starter

Would it be a good idea to make a small starter as the gravity is very high? Also I'm using US-05 and I'm wondering if that will be able to achieve the great heights I hope for?

Us-05 should be well able to chew it OK.
