Title: Bottling Sugar
Post by: Owen on June 25, 2023, 09:38:11 PM
Anyone used a pippet to prime bottles directly with sugar, rather than batch priming in a secondary bucket? Beer crystal clear so want to avoid as much oxidation as possible.

if making a solution up then use boiled and cooled water to de aerate the water. Should help with any D.O.

I used to use Coopers Carbonation Drops (https://www.homebrewwest.ie/coopers-carbonation-drops-2584-p.asp) when bottling.
half a drop per 500ml was pretty solid middle ground. I had a dedicated chisel for splitting :D
They're handy out, cos you can just pop them in the bottles in advance.
