Used this in a Dunkelweizen the other day. My god the smell of fart from it ???

:) :) when I was brewing inside, the dog used to get a lot of "out, out"
Can somebody on BJCP course tell me is old mans fart a recognised off flavour ;)

Yes its Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) aka: rotten egss,   aaka: OMF's

Chemistry 101:
H2S is actually a more toxic gas that Hygrogen Cyanide ??? And the really evil thing is that after the first few seconds of exposure to a DANGEROUS level off the gas the olfactory sensors shut down and you can no longer smell it.

Thats why its so Ef**n dangerous.

It is heavier that air and that is why you should never enter a sewer or slurry pit without the Gas meters and PPE!!

I prefer the practical rather than theoretical, as in the recent demonstration caught on infrared security cameras at a US airport.
