Just watched this advert ! They are only $90 in US
Wonder what shipping would cost?

This seems to be the 'dogs' when it comes to a systems approach to connical fermentation:

Have just sent an email to see if they will ship to us

Also note that Brouwland in Belgium are thefre agents!

What about our Brouwland agents getting in touch and either import through brouwland or becoming the Irish agents?

They are on sale in the UK too. I remember seeing them before.

Using shipito.com it would be around $50. That doesn't include VAT & dutys, add on €90x25% would be a good estimate.

I'd estimate €125 altogether. Sounds reasonable enough. Who's going to be the guinea pig  :P

David

Just received this email for them

For rough estimates please go with 14" by 14" by 20" and will weigh around 15-20lbs.

Our goal is to have it retail from Brouwland and through Brouwland  distribution channels (certainly retail partners in your region) for an end retail price of no more than 100 Euro. We have already confirmed this with Brouwland for when the product becomes available.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Thanks,

Casey

No stand and looks difficult to clean :/
Would prefer BREW BUCKET instead.

Know that it's not a conical, and it's more expensive but it comes with a rotatable racking arm and it's so shinyyyyy :D

The biggest draw back is that it is a plastic of some kind and so limited in its life. Any sours would no doubt infect it  :(

So just had a reply back from the states:

They would prefer if we dealt through Brouwland.

So could Homebrewwest pick up this ball and talk to Brauwland. They will be getting some in soon?

Also is getterbrewed in NI a Brouwland agent?

I am also talking to them about cooling them as they are big. From top (of airlock) to bottom (of ball) they are 39" tall

Actually it does have a conical bottom - just no dump valve on the bottom of the cone.

They have some good videos on their site. UK agent is TheMaltMiller and they charge £160 for the yoke.

The shipping is a bit daft:

£14-80 to (PM) in Belfast up to 30kg

For good 'old dubland' its ONLY £10-80 up to 30 kg

However as the 7 gallon true conical is only $170 more ( £105 (or €125)) thats a total of £265 plus weird shipping

Now thats about half the price of some of the Chinese stuff PLUS the 7 Gallon comes with a lot of Triclover fittings and big ball(valve)s

SO: Who is well connected with MM in the Uk and is prepared to organise a GB?

The FastFerment conicals are up on Brouwland's site now for 99€ but delivery to Ireland is 42€  :(

It would make a nice Christmas present if there are any WAGs reading   ;)
