Have had a really bad run these past 4 weeks, leaky keg left me with rotten flat cider kit, and my first all grain (BIAB) only got bottled tonight after a 3-4week fiasco of no airlock activity a dose of amylase and the slowest ferment you have ever seen, I'm hoping for a mildly drinkable mess.
Have a ticket for Jesus and Mary Chain too so I will make next month armed with some beer!!

Bubbles

Was hoping to bring along a Belgian Singel tonight, but it's still really sulphury. I can't figure it out - will cold-conditioning get rid of this? I just don't have the patience for long-conditioning a 4% beer!

Will bring the porter though, see ya later lads.

Is it off the yeast at this stage?
Some yeasts produce lots of sulphur but clean up the flavours and by products if left long enough. What yeast was it?

Bubbles

It was wlp500.

We were discussing this in the DH last night. Is it possible that it's dms causing it? I did do a 90 min boil but it's possible that I didn't cool it quickly enough. I just had the pot in a sink of water - no ice or anything.

Bubbles

Good laugh last night lads even though there was a smaller turnout than usual.

Beer of the night for me was Bruce's hefe. Wunderbar!

There will be! But the DH has a table quiz on Thur 28th, the inconsiderate sods...  ;)

Might try booking the Wednesday night, 27th. Any objections, just shout.

Will confirm here tomorrow morning.
