Funny you say that, just discussing it on the Whatsapp Group.

So Plan of action will actually not to split groups as a few people have said they don't want to miss out on a beer on a another table. But there'll be a choice of 2 beers in each round of tasting - you can taste both or just have 1 or sit out the round.

I did toy with the idea of limiting the total beers but we all agreed to just go with the flow and see how we get one.. However It's probably the largest meet-up done, and I wasn't expecting this much to be honest, so will need to have a plan to put some order in,

So here's the plan - Kicking off at 7 (or very shortly after it) I'm going to have a schedule of beers to taste in order so please update what you're definitely bringing before hand on the forum (otherwise it goes to the bottom of the list and tasted if we have time). If you're late - no problem, but your beer goes to the bottom of the list if we missed your round

I would say bring 3 bottles per beer (+1 optional for the taster flight deal) , but if you only have 2 left or don't fancy carrying loads, no problem. When its time to taste your beer, the bottles will be poured into a jug and passed around. There will be 2 jugs going at the same time with 2 different beers per round.

As there'll be a big group I would say we have 1 or 2 people passing out the tasters, so they can tell you what beer it is.. We've had smaller groups and the beer type gets lost along the line.

This way everyone has a chance to get a taste of every beer if they want but if someone feels they want a break or "pick & choose" they can opt to go for 1 beer per round  (or sit out a round if you want) . I'll put some format to this plan later, and i'll refine the list in a schedule. (will try keep styles similar, or at least have the 2 beers in each round have some common denominator so it just a matter of choosing one if you want to do that way)

Chacmool

Any chance I could come along to this? I've been brewing for a couple of years, but could never make it to one of these before, as I'm usually working evenings. I can make this one though and can bring a mediocre offering(an American Amber).

Dr Jacoby

Every little helps

When are capital running their next exam? I gather you guys are experts?

Draft of how the list is looking.
Can't fit any more beers in there (probably should have made that call 8 beers ago but sure we are where we are) or tasters to be honest (barely enough from 3 bottles) so will have to draw the line here
If anyone is not bringing a beer that's listed, let me know asap so I can update

Drum

Thats a huge list of beers and recipes to be bringing to Diageos doorstep lads. Just sayin, it doesn't take much to deconstruct and replicate a beer when you have an unlimited budget for Lab equipment and analytical chemists.
