Hi all, does anyone use the water quality reports for NI Water?  If so how accurate are they or do you just get your tap water tested?

Tom

No reason they wouldn't be accurate. The high and low figures are pretty close to one another, so there's not much variation through the year. Use away at them. They even include the homebrew specific data in one place, which I think is pretty sound of them.

I take it you are joking about the homebrew specific data!?haha

Have you read it?

From: https://www.niwater.com/water-quality-results/

Example: Corody supply Derry:
CaCO3 96.4 mg/l
Calcium 32.2 mg/l
Magnesium 3.8 mg/l
Chloride 20.9 mg/l
Sulphate 52
Sodium 13
Residual Chlorine 0.31ppm

You literally can't ask for more information.

And they even offer: "Home-brewers may be interested in the Calcium, Magnesium, Carbonate, Sodium,  Sulphate,  Chloride  and  pH  levels  of their  water  supply.  If  you  cannot  locate  the  information you require, please contact us at waterline@niwater.com" even though it's already there.

Literally just scanned the results.  Read through the document now.  Great option to have
