All Grain Brew demo - Midleton Mar 29th

The Mad Monk in association with the National Homebrew Club are holding...
All Grain Brewday - Saturday 29th March 10:30AM - Mad Monk Midleton

Starting at 10:30 we will be brewing 1 (or more, back to back) batches of beer in the Mad Monk.
This will continue until 3pm or 4pm, but you are more than welcome to drop in and out at any time.

You will see the complete brewing process process from whole grain to wort (unfermented beer).
Milling the Malt.
The Mash.
The Boil.
Cooling the Wort.

Beer samples and swaps.

If you're stuck for lunch, they have excellent food in the Mad Monk as well as great beer!

It started out dry and ended up very wet...
That sums up lots of activities I suppose.

2 x Barrel Project brews completed side by side.
It was a little difficult working in the rain but we got there.
Cleanup at the end was tedious as we were both soaked.

1 5A fuse blown (me) and 1 circuit tripped (Garry), nothing caught fire!

I really enjoyed the day, thanks for organising it. Sorry I had to bail before the cleanup, if I didn't go home to the dog I would have had a different cleanup to deal with

Yeah, Great to see it all in action, sorry couldn't stay for it all but I picked up some handy tips on equipment.  Sam LOVED it, he wasn't expecting to be weighing, crushing and stirring..... He cant wait for the next one
