A John Bull kit I think. I bought it in haste.

Added 1Kg of sugar, no DME or LME. Dry hopped with about 20g of Fuggles.

Needless to say it's shite.

Def need to get advice on what kits. Bren Murph had a great beer made from those new bag kits. Must try some of those.

1kg sugar will kill a kit faster than it takes to make it  ;D

Try the Coopers English Bitter kit with 1kg LDM and 20g Fuggles Dry Hop.
Can't go wrong with that kit.

The only other beer kits i've tried are the Brupaks ones and I don't like them at all.
I'm kinda scared to try other brands now, but eventually I'll try another for variety, think it's crap, then brew a few more Coopers tins  ;)

I presume that one can is the kit and the other is just LME, right?
Not that expensive considering the cost of the 2 tins separately

Anyone tried the Barons 7.5liter concentrated wort kits?

He used 2 x 1.8kg Make Your Own Beer Mild kit, topped up to 30 litres & used 1 of the kit yeasts.

Alcohol was about 3.5% I think he said but it was a smashing beer.

I've made loads of Coopers kits & been pretty happy with most of them. If you swap the kit yeast, dry hop & stay a mile away from 1 kg of sugar you'll get decent beer.

Come on tubmister you knew you were going to kill it with sugar, im sure you've read how to hack a kit!
