Just want you to have a chance to put it into your diary, the next planned brewday will hopefully be the 26th of January. I am hoping to make this a monthly meetup and arragements are being made at the moment.

Any suggestions as to what we should do for the second brewday?

Should we stick with a similar format to last month?

EDIT: Title changed

I will bring my bottled (and labelled) extract and brew it again -

so this time people can taste what they are brewing.

I would alter my layout a little next time.

Heat 30l Water
Start Talk and give out handouts.
Measure out crushed grains and put in bag
Measure out hops and put in bags
Explain process and additions
Expain differnet hops.

Take break

Bring 25l litres to the boil outside
Start talk
add grain tea
add DME - show hot break
add first hop addition

Give out samples ..

Move to kitchen
Chill
move to sterilised fermentor
aerate wort
seal up and bring home !

It looks like it will be the 27th, I'll confirm as soon as I can!

Yea, we are aiming to have a very inclusive brewday, where beginners can learn a lot as well as keeping it interesting for the more advanced brewers!

We'll most likely be brewing an extract SNPA clone again and an all grain Stout of some description! We'll post more details here in the coming days!

Nice stuff. We good for ingredients? I have about 50g (each) of several hop varieties, not counting the group buy bags I have, which I could donate, half a kilo or so of crystal EBC 250 and have a starter of california ale yeast on at the minute that I could split if need be.
