Here are my proposed ingredients list and names of people who have already offered to spot the ingredients. If you have any of the below to spare please add your name to the list!

Also please suggest ammendments to the milk stout recipe, the pale ale one will remain the same so that we can demo it and then taste the extract batch from the last meet up!

14 g Magnum (14%) - P9

Should we also lob in some coconut? Or anything else?

Padraic

I have the coconut here if we want to give that a go!

I might have some of the specialty grains but won't be able to check until tomorrow afternoon!

Jacob

Not sure if the milk stout is the best idea.
What about brewing dry stout instead?

Yea, I'd be happy enough with Dry Stout... Any suggestion of a recipe?

To make a coconut stout I think its best to 'dry hop' with toasted coconut after initial fermentation has died down.

I have one for the comp! ;)

irish_goat

I can bring the WLP001. Don't have anything else off the list though. I have plenty of whirlfloc if that's any use too.

Just take out lactose from the recipe posted :)

I've mashed it in my coconut porters so far, might try your "dry coconut" method next time!

How long did you leave the coconut in the oven/ what temp?

Damo

Sorry, meant to reply to this earlier.

coconut toasted at 150 for 30mins or so.

Be careful not to let it burn.

@ partridge9 should Tom bring the yeast and wirlflic or do you have these sorted?

Partridge9

I have the Whirlfloc - My WLP001 Yeast isnt very fresh - so if there is some fresh stuff I'd take it

Padriac - Maybe throw a dry yeast in your pocket - just in case.
