Decided to grow my own hops.

Hello all, I'm a bit of gardener so I decided to buy some hop seeds

I have looked at some other threads on this forum but i decided to start a thread if anybody wanted to share their experiences with me it would greatly appreciated.

I have a small greenhouse but from what I've seen they will grow too big for it so I presume they will have to be transplanted outside.
*Are they hardy enough for the outdoors?

Don't buy seeds. They could grow up to be males which won't give you hops. And male hops are illegal to cultivate in ROI, though I doubt you'd actually get done for it.

WOW - Why are males Illegal to cultivate?
It would defo be easier if i could get a cutting from somebody or else buy a plant from somewhere, would a garden centre sell them?

as far as i know the males are not illegal, but wild male hops are.
