Have you Got enough hops in there ?

( maybe more at 15 mins  ? )

Taf

Cambrinus

For a standard/ ordinary bitter, 24 IBU is on the lower end for the style.

Taf

There's plenty of hops in there, and will probably get plenty of flavour and aroma. It's not all about bitterness!

Cambrinus

Precisely. Enough hops in there for the style. Just did not get 1st question in this thread.

simonok

I'm going for a mix of style, Bitter meets American IPA

wallacebiy

As I said yesterday ,
Since you aren't putting in any 60min hops I'd be afraid there'll be a lack in the bitterness ,

I could be wrong though , but I think the utilisation for IBU's can vary greatly in late hopping only techniques .
I'm basing this on something I might have read a while back .

Just playing devils advocate in a way ...

simonok

This is fine for a beer this low abv, there are plenty of higher abv beer with lower IBUs

rebel

brew going ahead next saturday in franscian well, 8am.

rebel

put back until june  1st, please pm wallace, simon or rebel .

simonok
