Got the recipe from a New Zealand website also called Home Brew West (any relation to the one here in Galway?): http://www.homebrewwest.co.nz/pages/duvel-devil-beer
Nope
Without wishing to be negative, there isn't a hope of making a clone of Duvel by hacking beer kits. However if you concentrate on just making a good Belgian ale you might end up more pleased with your efforts.
By using liquid malt extract, you'll likely end up with something a lot darker and sweeter than Duvel which is very pale and dry.
S04 is a low attenuating yeast commonly used in English ales, I can't imagine it would make a good Belgian strong ale. Aside from the fact that the flavours that it would produce are very un-Belgian, it would leave far too much residual sweetness.
That recipe looks dodgy imo. There are much better kit hack recipes out there than that.
Are you limited to kits, or are you able to do a boil with unhopped extract. You just need a large stockpot and a way of cooling it.
Brewferm make a "Diabolo" kit which is supposed to be a Duvel clone. Haven't tried it myself, but heard it was pretty close. Could be worth a try.
