Made a spiced ale last year and really liked it so needs doing again. Not got my recipe sorted yet, will have to see whats in the press in the morning.

Didnt work out this morning, but got at it for the afternoon.
Brewed a nice malty dark mild and spiced it to bejasus ;D
Pale Malt 5 EBC 3000 grams 62.5%
Munich Malt 20 EBC 1000 grams 20.8%
Crystal Malt 130 EBC 500 grams 10.4%
Chocolate Malt 1050 EBC 100 grams 2.1%
Wheat Malt 3.5 EBC 200 grams 4.2%
Fuggle Whole 4.8 % 60 mins 20 grams
Challenger Whole 6.8 % 60 mins 20 grams
Colombus whole 16% 5mins 20 grams
1/2 teaspoon of each of the following
ground corriander, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon.
a half a vinilla pod
zest of an orange
50g desicated coconut
1/4 tsp dried chilli
Final Volume: 23 Litres
Original Gravity: 1.046
Final Gravity: 1.012
Alcohol Content: 4.4% ABV
Total Liquor: 33.1 Litres
Mash Liquor: 12 Litres
Mash Efficiency: 75 %
Bitterness: 24. EBU
Colour: 67 EBC
I may add some honey to this when fermentation dies down a bit.
Pitched wlp028 scotish ale yeast slurry @ 21C
