Our inaugural South Central brewday is taking place on the first Saturday of June in Milleas Pub (at the bottom of Liberty Square towards the river, just above the Carryout off licence).
We will be getting there to set up when the place opens at 1pm and shall be brewing something simple enough (and all grain) to get the Summer rolling.
Kieran the owner has kindly offered some grub and I shall be convincing him to bring some bottles up for the bar from the offy! Craft on draught, ALL WELCOME, craic guaranteed.

Thanks to all who were at the inaugeral South Central brew day  yesterday.

We double brewed a Red Ale in  2 mash tun coolers and then both into a big kettle. There was a continuous stream of people dropping in from the curious to the keen brewer all wanting to learn more about Home Brewing and loads of NHC  cards given out.

Special thanks to Kelly and Ben for making the Trip to Thurles !!  ;D It was great to have ye and yer samples went down a bomb. Looking forward to seeing some of the pictures.

Also Very special thanks to all the Lads in Milleas for making us so welcome.

The bottling / tasting will be in a month so keep an  eye out here for details.

Great day and by all and hello to any of the new folks who joined us!
2 mash tuns into one boiler with 17 litres into fermenter 1 with Notty and 17.5 litres into fermenter 2 with WL Burton Ale Yeast. Bren very kindly brought some cracking low abv ales and my 8% Belgian Brown didn't make it past the bar as the owner had to "sample" for quality control lol.

Next meet is Saturday (maybe Sunday) 5th July when we shall be bottling the red and brewing again.
