No probs Declan. I'm sure we'll be taking it easy on the tasting. I'll be sticking around for a couple of pints afterwards anyway, so whatever time you can make it.

Skip every second page in the Gruffalo, that's what I'll be doing!  ;) ;D

Gruffalo? Whats a gruffalo?!?

...Declan - I cracked open that TOG bottle you gave me.
Amzing beer!! Would never know its a kit - but it was well hacked anyway wasnt it?

Make sure you bring some of that to the meet! :)
Looking forward to it!!

"Silly old Jimmy M, doesn't he know?
there's no such thing as a gruffalo!"

Will bring along some of the tog beer. By the way glad you liked it.  Might try and steal some of the water from tog next time I am in there.

Just tidying this up a bit, so that we can put some order on the beers on the night. Not having attended one of these tastings before - I presume you'd normally leave the bigger/hoppier beers until last?

1. Conor/P Bubbles (Mild, Imperial Amber)
2. JimmyM (Bitter)
3. Shanna (Sierra Nevada Clone, Boddingtons clone)
4. Padraic (American Pale Ale)
5. Tube (Imperial IPA)
6. David
7. Andrew (Saison, Black IPA, Robust Raspberry Porter)
8. Ciderhead
9. JohnC (1.4%abv smoked wheat beer)
10. Shiny (Blonde Ale)
11. rossa

I'll bring a load of BJCP scoresheets (the short version I think) and a few flavour wheels and I'll leave it up to people whether they want to fill them out or not, no pressure.

I'll probably be in the Dark Horse over the weekend so I'll just confirm everything with the landlord.

There's a fantastic range of beers here, and some heavyweight scorers too! Shaping up to be a great event lads, really looking forward to it.

I think Padraic recommended a litre in the Capital Brewers tasting thread. We've quite a few beers to get through!
