The Minutes:

The first meeting of the new year!
What a great turnout for our first meeting! 15 NCB'ers and 2 distinguished guests.
The meeting started with a rather full agenda which we rattled through. Here are the summary points:

1. Review of 2014
Highlights: Brewday at club, Meetings, Xmas Party, Brú tour.
Last Jan we had 12 attend this year 17.
The club goes from strength to strength

2. Future plans for 2015 to make the NCB the best group in the NHC:
Maybe 3 public brew days held at MRFC.
James' still likes his private brew days. Anyone else fancy hosting one?>
   What about another brewery visit?

3. The Quadraphenia project and what's next
We are waiting to taste current batch.
Whatever it's like we will dedicate the next barrel to a sour

4. NCB tour of Swords
I have posted a thread for to select a day(s) for an upcoming Saturday(or Sunday) afternoon crawl/trawl of Swords with a view to updating the Beoir Ap and putting Swords firmly on the CB map! Note this can be a many day event. Just need a core of 3 or so to make it sociable and less like a sad Welsh git on a solo pub crawl! We will need some flyers etc for NHC/NCB and Beoir

5. The Nationals
Will_D is main drop point but sub drops can also be arranged. Entrants need to get registered by 8th Feband entries delivered to drop point by Sundays 8th of Feb.
Will's phone number is on the competition site or send me a PM.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the sorting of the beers (lunch and a laugh provided) on (Sat 14th Feb – Valentine's day with a difference). Also we need Judges and Stewards for the 2 comps in Galway and Dublin. Galway is on the 21st of Feb and Dublin is on the 7th of March
There is subsidised accommodation in Galway for travelling Judges.

6. The NHC Conference
Planning is still being fine tuned but looks like a big day out in late April/early May. This will be a serious day out for homebrewers and craft brewers alike to meet some industry leaders.
Lunch is provided. We need to get in touch with Alltech about this (particular bee in Pearse Lyons' bonnet are Beer conferences - we can tap into their database for contacts and PR)
Also  regards Alltech in February (27 Feb to March 1st) we need to check with the NHC if we are manning a stand at the Altech gig!

7. Group buy status
We are still looking for a delivery address. On the day the grain is delivered we need 4 or 5 peoples to help split up the pallet, label bags, move bags, remove bags etc

8. Decide on NCB kit for home brew west.
We need to check if this is still a runner.

9. James mentioned a brew day with Rascals is a possibility. He will start a thread

So after the boring bits (above) it was time to taste some serious beers

TCF Now stands at €53
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing
