No entries for a Berliner weisse yet, one could be turned around before the competition and be in with a good chance!
Registration system good!
My beers entered. Easy to register.
1st of the labels will be mailed out tonight.
Entry labels have been Emailed out to anyone that is registered. If you haven't got your label drop me a PM or mail and i'll look into it.
Yep received nice job :)
Got my labels, mighty work lads!
Have to enter this.
It would be my first competition!
Good to get some feedback on my brewing
Neoanto,
Its a great way to improve your brewing. And a good day out too!!
Just registered ;D
Can i just drop my beers off in the Lucan County anytime before the deadline (with the attached labels and money)?
Haven't asked the lucan County can they take entries yet.. If you have an entry to drop pm me and arrange something for you
Just Registered, nice and easy to use entry form!
Well done guys, the entry form looks great , I should have a couple of entries
Brewed a Weizen last Friday night and going to make my debut entry to a competition. I'll try and get it in through the Midlands group if thats ok.
Garciabernal... I'm in mullingar if that helps for a drop off
It does indeed. I'm in Ballymahon but I'd like to leave it as close to the date as possible to give you the beers seeing as it only went into the fermenter 5 days ago! I'll keep you posted though.
No worries.. Pm me when you want to drop it off
Will do. Nice one thanks for that.
Sorry if this information is posted somewhere, but I can't find it.
1 - how do I pay?
2 - are drop-points listed somewhere?
As per the registration form:
*An entry consists of 2 x 500ml brown glass bottles. You will be emailed labels which must be attached to each bottle with elastic bands. The fee is €5 per entry which must be attached to one of the bottles. Bottles entered with distinctive markings/shape/caps will be disqualified without refund.
The collection points are your local club http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.com/wordpress/local-clubs/
Lads, I'll do a drop point in malahide for north county
Thank you kind sir!
Do the beers have to be physically delivered by Sept 12th or can an entry be made using the form and the beers delivered at some point before Sep 26th?
I said I would get them to the comp for the lads so if you have em leave em with Mr P
and if their are other clubs with entries will you let me know cheers
Belfast next week to drop Ciarans Reg off, anything in Belfast NI or Wee County?
re: "Belfast next week to drop Ciarans Reg off, anything in Belfast NI"
Ciderhead - are you offering to pick up Belfast entries? Only two that I know off - myself and robotmonkey (oh!, and Bazza's 3-year old Becks).

Cheers CH. I'm still wondering whether the delivery to Liffey can be after Sept 12th because I have a beer that'll be ready around then.
The reason the closing date is the 12th is to allow for;
Planning the number of Judges and stewards required
Getting the bottles to the collection and labelling point
Making sure all the entries are there.
For anybody that has organised competitions there is a huge amount of work on the day, it makes it so much easier if most of that workload can be done in advance.
Dealing with exceptions is a pita
PM the organisers they may cut you some slack but most of my collections will be the three of 4 days after the 12th

As far as I can see we'll have one entry, possibly two from the Wee County. I could drop the bottles up to James in Malahide if that makes life any easier CH?
It does and would be appreciated if it's not out of your way?

No bother. Just to confuse things a bit, are you collecting for the porter comp?
Porter comp?
Oh one in Wexford yep

That's the one. Could I drop that off too?
Yep if it's ready to go
Folks, pickup in swords at tosh this evening, remember to tag bottle s correctly
What's the final date for entries?
12th of Sept
Awesome, I'll see if I can get an entry in before then.
"Bottles entered with distinctive markings/shape/caps will be disqualified without refund." - does this mean that a date scrawled on the cap in sharpy would put me out of the competition?
Just blacken it out and its grand.
Might be worth getting a list of drop points going.

And a massive thank you to ciderhead for offering to collect other entries!
Folks please remember I'll be collecting Stout competition entries as well!!
Pardon my ignorance here, its my first comp entry, but what constitutes 'entered in the comp'? Pdb from the forum is acting as judge for the comp, I'll see him Sat at the BJCP class. He said he'd take the beers for me. So does that mean my beers are in in time?
thanks

Where are you, Beerfly?
And sorry if I missed this somehow, but the 12th is the deadline "for entries" - is that registration or dropoff?

Pdb isn't down as a collection point on the list here on the thread so I wouldn't assume that it's a runner. You're a capital brewer right? If so, contact beerfly and if you can arrange to get to him withing a couple of days of the registration closing you should be fine.

12th is closing date for registration. We are looking to complete collections from the relevant club reps in the following days.
Beerfly doesn't seem to be acting as collection point now.
I can collect, I'm in malahide, but I can pickup in the black sheep on saturday
That's on Capel street

Grand, thanks a mil. I'll be attending the class anyway, so I'll bring them with me.
Folks , we are in the basement in the black sheep , if anyone is dropping entries
Can I send payment by PayPal? James was worried my fiver would get lost in transition. I'll send a bit extra to cover the PayPal fee. Thanks
My pay pal is garrett.geoghegan@intel.com
I just sent mine thorough PayPal too, thanks.
A fiver strapped to the side is much easier for the organisers!
Helmet just remind me am I collecting your beers Thursday Friday or did you say they were going to Malahide?
I dropped them all in with James today.
Sound I'll get them off him during the week
Cheers
got a bit bogged down with other stuff over the last week
can anyone with capital entries for this and/or wexford send me a message and i'll arrange something
Yep as I need to collect those this week ;)
I believe I am down to judge right? Mark or Brian asked me a while back.
If you can that would be great reuben.. You said you had done commitments that day
Ah no, there was only a possible commitment so I'm good.
Excellent... I knew the lure of bbq was too strong!!
Oooh I didn't even realise about the BBQ O0
What time should we pop down to the Lucan County at on sat?
Judges to be there for 11.30.. Comp kicks off a 12..hoping to finish at 4pm..then drink and food
Well done to

Well done lads
Well done lads. What were the winning styles??
Congratulations all round lads, well done!
I have judged a lot of comps and that was the highest quality I have judged to date. A joy to judge and the food was excellent! Thanks lads!
Put me down for 2016!
Any chance of getting my score?
Full score sheets will be emailed out by next week
Brilliant. Well done, heard it was a great day, excellent organisation. Sorry couldn't help out, had a wedding yesterday.
Ok so I'm hearing from 5 sources today, Lord Stilton did such an amazing job of delivering this competition that he is now available for consultancy, and to me it's individuals like that who are prepared to have a go at something that have never done before, is why the NHC planet keeps turning O0
CH tips his cap
I wish I could take all the credit but it was a liffey brewers joint effort with help from the other clubs and judges that made the day run so smoothly...The Murphy family out in South Kildare were a big help on the day too...Many thanks to all that participated.
Best comp I've been to so far. Amazing smoked food, beautiful Belgian sour beers, a very high standard of competition beers and really well organised. Looking forward to next year's comp!
Well done on a well organised day! The food afterwards was great and the standard of beers in the competition was very high. I must say the stewards and help given to the judges on the day was excellent. Thanks again!
Sounds like a well organised event lads, well done. Will you be sending out score sheets. Just wondering like!
By next week you should have a pdf of your score sheet emailed out
Ah brilliant stuff, thanks for that! Congratulations again on the whole event!
