I think it would be good to do a different recipe in each barrel. A more sessionable porter would be a nice alternative I think. Derek and Steven mentioned recipes when we chatted.
If a second recipe is forthcoming let's get a list going.
Proposed recipe for one of the barrels (or both whatever?)

I won gold for this in the nationals this year
List time. Let's assume 140L per barrel as they're not the same and it will allow for loses.

Looks like the Porter barrel is sorted. When are we looking at brewing?
I'll need to get some wlp002. Can build up a big starter and split it if you want?
Think I need brown and chocolate malt and maybe hops anyway so will probably just get my own

Lads I changed the recipe slightly due to trying to having my efficiency set to 70% instead of 60% due to large grain bill.

You can brew on my new kit ;D
Split mash ? Thats also for a 60% efficiency..so your own set up might need less.
Fill date for both barrels is set for 10th September.
To keep things simple on the day it would be best to bring young beer in a cornie. We want to minimise O2 pickup.

We all ready to brew this week? There is 160l in this list by the way - what's the barrel capacity?
Think the larger barrel was 135L from memory. Smaller closer to 125L.
I was planning on brewing midweek.
I'm brewing on Wednesday or Thursday
Any thoughts on the water profile for the porter? Do you thinkwe need to replicate you're soft South Dublin water?
Soft water if you are not steeping the dark malts.
I intend to add all my malt to the mash.
I'm going to go for this:
Calcium (ppm) 61
Magnesium (ppm) 3
Sodium (ppm) 8
Sulfate (ppm) 25
Chloride (ppm) 62
Bicarbonate (ppm) 85
target pH 5.3
Any thoughts?

Only me and mark ready to brew? Proposed fill date is just over 2 weeks away. C'mon lads
I can brew this weekend
My porter brew is done and fermenting thanks to delzep saving the day with some EKG.
When is the fill date for the wee heavy? Are we still planning on the 10th?
We need to push wee heavy by two weeks judging by whatapp discussion
Did my porter yesterday. Brewed 50L so will have extra 12L above my allocated 38L if we're short on the day.

What's happening with the wee heavy barrel fill? Seems some of us have been waiting for a month. Is there a fill date organized?
Where all ready to go but we are on standby as an issue of infection may be in the barrel :-[
Was there issue with the previous batch?
Yes :(
Foot and Mouth procedures leaving "Dempsey's Den"
Very strange. Mine came from the barrel and nothing's changed? Are we sure it's not others cleaning regime after removing their batch?
Which barrel did your come from as the top barrel is the problem one.
I've no certain idea, maybe Mark would know but there were a few that had said they got theirs from the bottom barrel which would likely mean that mine came from the top. Someone had to have theirs from the top?

Yours was in the upper barrel. Full list from the spreadsheet:
Dempsey #2 batch
Lordstilton #2 batch
Dodge
DamienE
Lofty
Blueshed
Diarmuid (top up)
Check out your carbonation dodge... It's still fermenting
I'll have to take a sample and re measure the FG. I have mine in a keg.
