Title: Fermentation Temp Help
Post by: wol000 on September 27, 2022, 06:10:04 PM
Hi folks,

I have a question I am hoping you guys can assist me with, as I've made some bad beer to date. At present I have a batch in a fermentation fridge I built, hoping this solves my beer problems. I have a smash kit on the go. I started my fermentation @ 19 degrees for 4 days, as per the John Palmer book and checked the gravity. It was close to were it needed to be, so I raised the temp to 21 degrees. He says no more than 8 days at this raised temp. My airlock hasn't dropped yet. So on day 8 should i just bottle or wait another week and possibly lower the temp? He says you can't leave it more than 8 days raised,

Package it, if the gravity is close to the target. If not, lower back down to 19c and wait.

Hi Phil,

The gravity is still the same. I'll move to bottling. Thanks for your help, your info is greatly appreciated
