Title: Mangrove jacks yeast not clearing.
Post by: Eoin on September 07, 2015, 07:56:53 PM
The beer is at terminal gravity over a week and it still looks like mud as if it's still fermenting like crazy. I even added some gelatine last night and it's still not settling... Not impressed with this crap at all. Using Newcastle yeast, pitched three packs at a light bitter style.

Crash chill? What is it you are brewing? Did you get a decent drop from whirlfloc?

My freezer has packed in so I can't crash it. I'm wondering if squeezing the bags of pellets might have caused a haze...

Nope don't think so they would have fallen out, but I wouldn't have done it in any case as long as they got a good boil to release their goodies.

Well I don't think that pellets in the bags release enough. So I've started to squeeze them out.

If you've no vegetarians drinking your beer throw some gelatin at it.
