I'm getting all the kit together for BIAB at the moment.

Just wondering what brewing software you BIAB'ers are using?

Is anyone using BIABacus?

baphomite51

i just use beer smith it works great for me it has BIAB options on it and i couldn recommend it enough

Qs

I'll second beersmith. I don't BIAB but I'm currently using the BIAB settings to get ready for a go at no-sparge.

If you get beersmith you can do whatever sort of brewing you want really. Extract, all grain, BIAB, its all covered.

Beersmith all the way, very good value too for the software and great they give you a month free to check it out

Thanks guys.

I've been looking briefly at BrewMate (free, but a bit basic) and BIABacus (free, but awkward), and will give BeerSmith a try.

There was a discount code for Beersmith for full members.
PM Shiny for details.

There's no such thing as bad beer - some just taste better than others

I had a look at BIABacus before. It looks very complicated to me? BIAB is supposed to be easy.

I use BeerSmith most of the time. BrewMate is good too.

Here are some useful online calculators:

I use both. I use the BIABacus for, well, BIAB and BeerSmith for everything else. I agree that on first looks the BIABacus does look complicated but it's really not. I would suggest to try one out. If you are unsure of anything, post to the biabbrewer forum. Sure , it doesn't have the nice GUI but the guy (PP) is very helpful and will explain in great detail how it works. And if you don't like it, you still have BeerSmith :)

Hi fergus.

Interesting. Why not used BeerSmith for BIAB also?
Do you find the BIABacus more accurate?
