Hi All,
It's been a few months since we've done this and I note that there seem to be a few more Limerick Brewers on the scene since last time. If you all would like to indicate your interest here, we can arrange a suitable date then for the next few weeks. I would guess some time in the next 2/3 weeks or everyone will be too busy with other things to meet up!
Waiting for the further information.
Midweek and I'd be happy to bump the numbers
Sounds like a plan. Count me in !
Me too if not working 😁
I'd be well up for it too. Looking forward to meeting a few of the limerick homebrewers, never been to one of these meetups before.
I'm watching this space...
Ok so throw up a date somebody? If you build it etc!!
Sounds great! I'm in too!
What about Thursday, 10th December in the blind pig?
I should be able to make the 10th - any excuse to avoid Christmas shopping!

Hi all, provisionally should be able to make it, haven't had much time for brewing in recent months, i do have a very young Belgian blonde relatively speaking which i haven't tried and a strangely inconsistent pottery bitter kind of brew to bring along.

Can we bring few bottles of our beer or it is better to ask bartender before? I will try to come.
Chris knew the bartender there and we had bought a few beers in there as well. He had asked for a few glasses that we could sample our own beers. As long as it is quiet enough and you keep there business going as well, I think that should be fine. But yes, please bring a few samples of your beers :)
I brought in a keg of home brew for afters of a brewing demo at the Blind Pig last year - that was probably pushing it a little 8). But I still downed more of the lovely craft beers on offer, than my own. If you have several bottles, we sometimes do swappsies - swap two bottles of yours for two bottles of someone else's and take them away.
So at what time are you going to be in Blind Pig?
Myself and BavarianGal will be there around 7pm and will bring a few beers!
I ll aim to be there around 7 or 7 30. Had a day off today so did a bit of brewing, just to wet the appetite. See you all there.

Has somebody oked it with BP can we bring a bottle or 2 if we drink loads of their beer?
Cool pic. If water was photoshop to the colour of an Irish red ale we'd have the makings of a beer commercial !
Last time I checked, BP had an upstairs cocktail bar so we could move up there if the Limerick CBD floods. There would surely be coast guard boats to rescue us from the roof should we need it. They don't mind bringing a few sample bottles to the home brew nights. There is a mutual respect and considerable overlap between the home brewing and craft beer communities.
Hi all,
Should be there at 8 ish. Looking forward to meeting you all.
I have a coconut milk stout that's ready to drink so will bring some of that along.
Coconut milk stout - sounds good :) I will try to be around 8. I have got dry stout and German dark wheat beer. Maybe few bottles of double AIPA are still in my shed. I must check it.
Will be there just after 7 bringing a cider.. oh yeah it's a 9.5 percenter aged in a bushmills barrel for 12 months
Speaking of overlap between the home brewing and craft beer communities. It looks like we will be honoured with the presence of "The Beernut" - founder of Beoir.org ? It will be great to hear what the brewers are up to in the big smoke (Dublin) these days.
I should be there about 7:30 with my usual Gnarley Nettle ale, and a few kits I'm fairly ashamed of.
I'm looking forward to this. I'll have some Belfast Brown Ale, an APA, a Kolsch that didn't really work out...and maybe some others.

Running a bit late -hope to be there shortly after 8: leave some beer for me :)
Wow Limerick and Tipp you have been hiding some amazing Brewers and beers and keeping them all to yourselves!

Good turnout there! Delighted to see it.
Good night just home. We can make this a little more convenient. Well done to everyone on a wide range of brews. Maybe we should aim for another 3 months
time.
Jaysis.. that lad at the front gets around, doesn't he? ;D
Great meeting folks from different parts of the country and how they do things. We must of sampled 12-15 beers last night and some are competition medal winners.
Best part of the night for me was when Brettdundee pulled out a "brick" of tightly compressed cascade that he'd grown this year, the look on the bar mans face was priceless as he thought we were all going to skin up. But of course following Brett's example we all threw it in our beer

Ambassador CH :D
Hope ye had a great night, will try to make next one for sure !!
Really great meeting indeed. Thanks for nice evening and excellent beers. CH's cider was amazing. I also still feel smell of Brett"s "brick" :) At what time did you finish?
A GREAT night was had by all.
Many thanks to CH for his trek across the country to visit us. We are in awe of his knowledge and all learnt heaps. His wisdom added a dimension of professionalism that may have been lacking in previous meetups.
Jesus!! I hope someone collected the leftover brick at the end of the night. I can think of several crazy CARAZY endings to the night if some innocent bystander stumbled upon it after we left.

Beernut V2.0 - Keep makin that coconut milk stout !
Are you sure you didn't flog it to a few innocent students Brett, cascade the new gateway drug, smells a hell of a lot better than the real gateway drug. Thanks eoin for lift home too and apologies to your son for scoffing some of his chicken, it does serve him right though for being a Tipp man supporting Clare.
We should all probably lie low for a few weeks, to avoid any retribution if you get recognized.
Next meetup should be on the other side of town and we'll bring some hidden cameras ! Should make for a You-tube sensation

Careful there TippBrewer! or that might be your last lift home - It's a long way to Tipperary from the Blind Pig when you are walking. >:D
Keep it up tipp brewer - more KFC bucket for me !
Brett, the brick is stored away safely in a secure location... That's all I'll say!
Do you want someone to come and bail you out?
The Brick made it to a student who was very happy about it ;) O0
Was a great evening!
Next time we could try "The Hurlers" in Castletroy or "OConnells" (prev. Sinnotts) in Annacotty since the location might be more convenient for a lot of people.
Have you left BP as a last customers yesterday? ;) Was CH's cider the last beer or I omitted more of them?
Hi Marek, I think that Brett had 1 or two more beers for us to try after CH's cider. I think we all left at roughly the same time... It's a bit hazy!

apologies eoin, i forgot the intensity of the rivalry, walking home from the blind pig would indeed have been a challenge. If its any concellation, i have my kids well indoctrinated into Tipp supporters despite them living in Clare.
Devestated I missed this was in Malta visiting the Lord chambray brewery. I'll be there for the next one
Devastated to have missed this. Was away in Malta visiting the Lord chambray brewery. Will def be there for the next one
Would love to do that again folks and next time I would would show you all how to judge your own beers! Don't panic most would have done well
Hi All, it was great to meet you all on Thursday night really enjoyed it. There were some great beers to taste, they were coming thick and fast towards the end. I'll have to get the finger out and make a few more brews before the next meet!
Thanks Keg, I was afraid that I had lost opportunity to try much more great beers :) After I left BP I went to the restaurant where my wife had a Christmas party. Waiting for her at the bar I ordered my very last beer that night. They have just...Heineken and Corona....I have taken Corona....stupid I...It shouldn't be called "beer"...
Beernut, your stout is very good.
