Hi all,
I am fairly new to brewing and currently using kits. I have a Muntons Belgian Style Ale fermenting at the moment and i'm trying to figure out the desired co2 to then figure out sugar needed for priming. I've seen anything from 2.0 to 4.3 so would like to avoid flat beer and erupting bottles!! Any help appreciated.
Dan
Hi and welcome. 4.3 volume would make it quite fizzy and so the carbonic acid from the co2 would have a bite to it. I would go for around 2.4 range.
Cheers, I'll aim for that.
This chart is for force carbonation, but it'll give a good idea of the different carb levels

And this will tell you how much sugar you need
