Hi Folks

Got my first brewday of the year in today. Going to use Mosaic hops throughout.

I used the following recipe:
Mosaic New Year Ale
Batch Size (L): 23.0
Total Grain (kg): 5.050
Total Hops (g): 100.00
Original Gravity (OG): 1.049
Final Gravity (FG): 1.012
Alcohol by Volume (ABV): 4.81
(EBC): 20.0
Bitterness (IBU): 42.4

Boil Time (Minutes): 60
Grain Bill
5.000 kg Pale Ale Malt (99.01%)
0.050 kg Black Malt (0.99%)
Hop Bill
20.0 g Mosaic Leaf (11.5% Alpha) @ 45 Minutes (Boil) (0.9 g/L)
5.0 g Mosaic Leaf (11.5% Alpha) @ 30 Minutes (Boil) (0.2 g/L)
15.0 g Mosaic Leaf (11.5% Alpha) @ 15 Minutes (Boil) (0.7 g/L)
15.0 g Mosaic Leaf (11.5% Alpha) @ 5 Minutes (Boil) (0.7 g/L)
15.0 g Mosaic Leaf (11.5% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Boil) (0.7 g/L)
30.0 g Mosaic Leaf (11.5% Alpha) @ 0 Days (Dry Hop) (1.3 g/L)

1 Whirlfloc Tablet @ 15 Minutes (Boil)
Single step Infusion at 68°C for 90 Minutes.
Fermented at 20°C with Danstar Nottingham

Everything went smoothly until I realised that I had forgot to put the hop filter back into my boiler.

Mosaic looks interesting - must put this on my do-do list.

Is this your usual grain bill?

BrewBilly

I must admit this was my first time using Mosaic - an extremely pleasant hop, massive amounts of citrusy aroma.

The grain bill is not my usual, I would generally go for pale malt and crystal. I got the 50g addition of Black Malt from GW's book. It added lovely colour.
