Hi everybody!
I last brewed from the grains in 1980. I had a little look at what was going on, and came across a retailer selling a Brewzilla 35 litre kit for scrap, as it had a pinhole, At 1/3rd the price, I got it. The leak was soon fixed with a 3mm nut and bolt and Araldite.
I have a good range of stuff now, heading out for CO2 soon.
I have converted a mid sized freezer to a cool and hot box, but had a ballacher of a problem with a cheapo Chinese compressor starter, which wasn't wired up correctly internally (details available if anyone is interested)
It's running a treat now. I hope to start brewing in late September after a hol and promised decorating... ;)

All the best, John. ( Larne.)

Hi John, welcome to the forum! Sounds like you're well on you're way to a decent setup. What's the first planned brew?

If you're interested the nearest club to you would be Belfast Homebrewers, they have a Whatsapp group and communicate on there, mostly. They have a sub group on this forum, you can post on there or I can put you in touch with their rep.

Happy brewing!

THanks all!
My first brew is likely to be lager, hence the fridge mods. Learnt a bit about gas cylinders and regulators.
Although my Kegland regulator has a contents gauge of over 3000 psi I wouldn't trust it on 60/40. Got a straight CO2 for now. :)
