Cleaning products from Biocel

Biocel Ltd – Brewing Products

Hygiene & CIP products

Brewing Plant

1. Caustic Soda Based formulations for CIP cleaning of Brewing Process plant. Pack sizes 5 lt x 4 & 25 lt
Lactrin 30 % Sodium Hydroxide based @€ 8.05 /5 lt  € 35/ 25 lt.  This formula has a high Sequestrant level and recommended usage rate is 3 % v/v for heavy soil removal & 1.5 % v/v for light soil removal in brewing application. Generally best results are achieved when products is used in excess of 70 deg C, but if product is used cold it is best to add 250 ml Rocklor per 100 litres of wash solution to compensate for lack of temperature.


2. Peracetic Acid Based Disinfectants
Pack sizes 5 lt x 4 .
Hydrox 5 % is the product most commonly used by micro breweries & home brewing.
Recommended usage rate is 0.6 % v/v or 600 mls per 100 lt of water to give the FDA recommended level of 300 ppm for food plant sanitation.
Hydrox 5 is priced at € 34/ 5 lt.

3. Acid Based Detergents for CIP of BBT & tanks under C02.
Pack sizes 5 lt x 4 .
Kingdom Acid Descaler  - Phosphoric acid based detergent descaler. Recommended usage rate 2% v/v or 2 lt per 100 lt of wash solution.
Kingdom is priced at € 14/5 lt.

4. Quaternary Ammonium Based Disinfectants for soaking transfer hoses and hand washing equipment.
Pack sizes 5 lt x 4
Biomine is a concentrated Quat used for hand washing equipment and soaking of hoses etc.
Recommended usage rates is 0.2 % v/v or 200 ml per 100 lt of water. Equipment should be rinsed with potable water after hand washing or soaking as high levels of Quats can affect head retention.
Biomine is priced at € 15/5 lt.


5. Quat Based Floor Cleaner / Disinfectant
Pack sizes 5 lt, 25 lt.
Bioquat 96 is priced at  € 9.00 / 5 lt € 39 /25 lt

6. Sodium Hypochlorite 10 % or 15 %.
Pack sizes 5 lt, 25 lt.
Rocklor 10 % Sodium Hypochlorite is priced at € 4.00 / 5 lt & € 15/25 l

1. Heavy Duty Alkaline Cleaners
Pack Size 5 lt

1. Calcium Sulphate – Gypsum Food Grade.

Delivery

Prices are exclusive of vat & ex works Cork.

Fastway Couriers will take a package up to 30 kg weight for € 5 = € 7  depending on location.

Bigger quantities will have to be placed on a pallet and will incur a delivery charge of € 50 per pallet

This is also used for acid washing a suspectedly infected yeast (but needs re-using) just prior to pitching.

Add the FG PA to about pH 2.2, wait, and pitch. For full details of the washing technique google it up or read the books.

Also its a great rust remover/steel corrosion inhibitor.

It was the basis of all sorts of magic (read expensive) rust removers/inhibitors from the 80's 'n 90's

Given the price of Starsan, VWP, and owt else these are very seriously great prices.

Only trouble is 5L or 5Kg is a heck of a lot for the smaller HB'er
