There are lots of recipes on t'internet:

But to paraphrase them, A few essentilas are:

Red Wine
Sugar,
Lemon zest and/or Orange zest
Cinnamon
Cloves

Other optionals:
Water (Eeek!)
Nutmeg
Green Cardomons
Star Anise
Ginger
Jack Daniels*

* Err why Jackie? Coz Paddy our MRFC chef mulled up 2.5 gallons of the stuff and bunged in 2 bottles of Jackie! Effin gorgeous!
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

I always finish mine off with a bit of port. You need to watch the sugar you add at the beginning though, as the port will sweeten it up quite a bit.

"Glogg" is another variation on the mulled wine thing. You put some raisins at the bottom of the glasses along with some flaked almonds, then you serve the drink with a spoon to eat the booze-soaked morsels. Tried it the other night, very nice.

Gluhwein rumschuess is good if you want to get totally mullahed basically you throw in a shot of dark rum... Tis whacky stuff for sure.
