Title: Yeast question
Post by: James on July 20, 2020, 04:31:03 PM
I'm brewing a 25L batch of a NEIPA and just realized that the yeast I used, Lalbrew New England dried yeast is only good for 1g per L pitch rate, and the packet was 11g. Does anyone know if I can use another packet of a different yeast? I have Mangrove Jacks West Coast Ale, Mangrove Jack's New World Strong Ale, and a White Labs Coastal Haze liquid yeast available.

Can you build a starter?
Then build the WLP067 Coastal Haze Ale Yeast Blend up & just use that.

This blend of our favorite New England-style IPA strains is great for producing beers with a hazy appearance and tropical, fruit-forward esters. Producing dry, yet juicy beers, the mango and pineapple characteristics will lend to added drinkability.

Otherwise just pitch the dry & WLP067 together.

Yeah, was thinking the White Labs yeast might be the way to go. Cheers
