Moved to a new house and would like to build proper brewing shed.
Preferably in wood, 10x12 on a concrete base.
From what I can see getting a shed is not a problem however it's not that easy with concrete base.
Are there any builders here looking for a small contract job? :)
If you are buying one of the steel sheds then these company's have resident builder's with them for doing this and they quote you. Failing that hire a skip get a pick axe and some shovels and a wheel barrow, clear the area, dig a trench and fill it with concrete, lay the supporting bricks, put in drainage, lay a bed of sand, lay damp proof membrane, put down insulation then pour the concrete floor and float it off. Then when the north county brewers have done all that for you you make them lunch and feed them beer ;)
You want to have good floor drainage too
Don't need water connection and no drainage.
i got myself a steel shed a few weeks back, best thing to do is get shed first then make your concrete floor around the shed. i made the mistake of putting down the concrete base first.
i got the concrete deliverd to my drive way, had 2 wheel barrows and 2 mates to help.
Hi Jacob,
Welcome back.
Have a word with rje66 he may be able to help.
Always put the base down first!
Even if you dont want drains/water/lekky put in some conduits for these services - adds an extra 50 quid or so!
Was in touch with him about the shed already :P
Drop the photos when You finish please :)
