Title: Free fuggles hops
Post by: Paul Walsh on June 18, 2015, 09:17:11 PM
I have 5 fuggles hops growing in my garden which will be heavy with cones at the end of the season .If anybody wants to collect them ,they can arrive with some beer and a plastic sack. >:D

Where are you based paul? I've never harvested a hop plant, kind of curious what it's like.

In a word it's a pain in the Swiss role :)

It might be but once you're chugging that beer brewed with those hops it's all forgotten.

Last time I just took the knife to Tue stem, tore it off the wall and shook it to he'll and back over a big sheet. Got a lot of the hops and h st dumped the rest before my sanity was challenged ;)

To be honest I forgot by the next day. Real problem for me is that I am allergic to whatever the bines use for climbing so I have to be careful when harvesting them.
