Title: Help needed stc 100 bought by mistake.
Post by: Smallbeer on June 22, 2015, 06:48:56 PM
Hi just wondering if anybody can help me.
I bought a stc 100 off the net, last week instead of a 1000.
The wiring of the 1000 looks straight forward, as it has eight terminals, the 100 only has seven,  I'm stumped.
Has anyone got a simple wiring diagram ?
Will it heat and cool?

Thanks.

Think that only heats or cools :(
Can you take a pic of terminals?

Think 1 and 7 are live, 2 and 6 are neutral. It only supplies a hot or cold socket

Singles are always handy for controlling keezers or red neck conditioning chambers which are just insulated walls in a cool shed running a tube heater. 2 months of the year when temp gets over 18-20 you can't use it tho :(
Contra is also true when you are looking for 10-12 in high summer for lagers on a fridge

Thanks all for your swift reply. They are the correct schematics posted by Auralabuse, as I thought it can only control one source.
Note to self, stay off amazon after a glass or two of wine  :D.

2 and 6 are live 7 neutral and 1 and 3 are your switched outputs.

1 for NO (Normally Open) & 3 for NC (Normally Closed).

It would suggest 1 for Heating OR 3 for Cooling, ie only when the temp hits your target, eg 19°C, it switches off.

Plug a lamp into the socket to test & switch wiring between 1 & 3 to confirm (MAKE SURE YOU'VE UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS WHEN YOU'RE REWIRING).
