Post by: douglas on June 29, 2015, 03:45:59 PM
Hi Folks.

last week i tried to make my own malt, but i made some mistakes and probably I failed, my malt developed a mold smell on the final o process.
description
I catch a 10Kg of barley and washed if water, so a soak for 3 hour, after this a take rest without water for 8 hours, I made this until to start the germination.
after this i irrigate with water twice a day for 5 days in the 6th day started to dry.
I chose dry the malt in the sun for 2 days, i kilning the malt for 3 hours in a 90ÂșC on the finish they not smell good the smell like a mold.
You guys have an idea about this. where did I go wrong

sorry my bad English

regards.
