Evening all,
I'm putting together a brewshed, she's p*ssed off with brewing equipment all over the house, so I've been given the green light. I've got space for 8'x6' so I have to design it properly as it's not the biggest space in the world.
I'm looking for a deep sink if anyone has one or knows where to get one? Preferably a catering style sink with a drainer.
I have a few 20litre Franke Stainless Steel kegs if they are of any interest in a part exchange?
catering auctions?

Knocked back I see?
Im looking for something a little deeper if I can get my hands on it.
Yeah, haggling is a lot easier if the seller comes back with a price rather than just "no"... it almost seems like he doesn't want to sell it :P

The seller is looking for €800 for a deep sink & dishwasher I can't see if they can be separated but would assume that they can be taken apart.
bump
Something like this ...
Does it have to be stainless or would something like a Belfast sink do? You see lots of them on donedeal/adverts and they're usually only €50 - 70...
I'd much rather a stainless steel one Kevin.
Chances are I'd drop something and break it if it were ceramic.
Yeah that's true. A glass carboy slipping half an inch to the bottom of the sink... eeeek! ???
My thoughts exactly!

you could put something down on the bottom of it to absorb the shock though? probably not the right material, but something like this?

although I think if you drop a glass carboy onto anything from half an inch there's a chance it can break :-\
That's a good idea alright, cheers.
Or make yourself a wooden one? Saw a few when I worked over in the UK. You've no shortage of access to tools...
I'm using an old belfast sink but it's way too small. Was thinking of upgrading to an attic storage tank (http://www.tanksireland.ie/p/20_litre_attic_water_tank).
@Kevin - wooden sink? Ya serious?
There's no shortage of wood or tools where I'm working.
@Garry - I'd be worried about hot water in the tank causing a leak around the joint to an s or p trap that I would attach to turn it into a sink.
Yeah, they look great. I heard they were used in the 'big houses' for the staff washing fragile bone china and the like. I did a quick spot of googling there and it seems you can either use teak pretty much bare or else use any old shite wood and coat it with some sort of epoxy resin and/or fibreglass. I'm intrigued again. I need a sink for me workshop...
Hmmmm epoxy resin or fibreglass - no there's something worth investigating more!
I'm intrigued too ...
I got sorted for a deep sink lads.
Mods can close this thread if you want?
Was it a one off? Lookin for a sink myself, doesn't have to be massive but want a decent size for cleaning my gear.
I use a Belfast sink, its a winner.
