Title: CO2 Bottles
Post by: robotmonkey on July 21, 2015, 03:59:29 PM
Afternoon all!

I recently got a few corny kegs and I'm just wondering where in the Belfast you can get CO2 bottles, any thoughts?

Tony.

There's a few of us use Nifex in Dunmurry. 90 or 100 quid for a 6kg bottle, filled. 20 quid a refill.

After 5 years they'll replace the bottle for a new one, filled, for 35 quid. Or so they claimed when I got mine 3 years ago.

There's talk of some outfit near Dungannon, if that's closer to you. Do a search for Dungannon on the forum. Can't see there being too many hits  :)

You got a regulator? If so,  is it for co2 or mixed gas?

Cheers,

- Barry

Cheers for the info! I'll take a look at Nifex.

Haven't got a regulator but I can source one of those easy enough.

No probs.

Nifex do both pub gas and regular CO2. Just make sure, depending on what gas you want, you get the appropriate reg.
The guy at Nifex did say that the pub gas canisters empty a lot quicker than the CO2 welding ones, so I went for CO2. A fill does me over a year.

Where would be the best place to get a regulator from? I've seen a few on sale on eBay and stuff but people on here say the scale on them is all wrong?
