Title: Hop Spider
Post by: Roo on August 13, 2015, 11:05:14 PM
Anyone ever have or consider this. Even better does anyone think they could build this at a reasonable price. Don't want hops clogging the filter and think I loose too much liquid with a bag

No never tried one of these.

Do you mean too much liquid is absorbed into the material?

There's a good article on BYO (https://byo.com/mead/item/2427-build-a-hop-spider-projects) on how to make one handy enough. It's on my to do list anyway.

That and the messy squeeze that needs to be done. Rather just lift this out at the end and dispose of it easier too.
