Title: Fittings
Post by: rukkus on August 23, 2015, 07:07:54 PM
Has anyone looked into prices for stainless fittings like ball valves and camlock fittings from totalstainless.ie?

Last bits I bought (a month ago):

3/4" 2 piece ss ball valve €14.40

3/4" 90 Elbow at €2.50

3/4" hosetails at €4.10

Then comes the VAT!

But I think  not bad prices!

That's not bad, do they post stuff out or do you have to go in?

Do I smell a group buy :) Would be interested in a load of male/female camlock fittings.

I sense an intervention is going to be needed here :D

Just as a note, I got all my camlocks from BrewPi. They are 1/2" BSP extra wide and work a treat. Not the cheapest though, but maybe he would do a group rate for the club and he has the manufacturing connections in China to get things custom made when needed.

I love Brewpi and have a fridge controller and whirlpool arm from him but he adds VAt and shipping and although his gear is amazing it makes it mad money even more expensive that Homebrewbuilder! :(
So Rukkus when you kick the buy off HBB charge a flat 12 or 15 stg to here up to 25kgs I believe.

They are a trade supplier, have a trade counter (just) and will do small cash sales!

They aren't a mail order shop

I'm not in a mad rush for the camlocks but does anyone know where I'd get 3 piece ball valves with very fast delivery?

Didn't realise he sold them too. I bought from the US.

I got a response from total stainless and the prices look like they will be reasonable for the cam lock fittings. I have sent off some specific parts to be priced but we might be looking good. It would be very handy to have an Irish supplier for fittings rather than having to go to the US or UK for them.

Would you please post the prices?

I don't have them yet as I was quoted for a female set when I need male. I've requested prices for a few different fittings now.
