Hi guys,
This is my first year planting hops and quite honestly I've got no clue when to harvest them.
Do you think that these are ready to pick?
(Please see images attached)
Many thanks
Manu
I cant see much in those pictures, they're a bit small on my screen and fuzzy when i zoom in.
Have a look here tho http://www.brewersfriend.com/2009/09/29/fall-hop-harvest-guidelines/ (http://www.brewersfriend.com/2009/09/29/fall-hop-harvest-guidelines/)
Hope it helps.
Apologies, these ones have higher resolution
Cheers
They look good, but there is nothing to scale them to.
I would say not yet, but make sure you get to them before the first frost.
Keep an eye on Met Eireann.
Thank you. They are in village in the north of Spain where I'm from. I'm planning to go over to harvest them. I was thinking in going this weekend. I may give it another week.
Thanks a mill
Ps: temperatures oscillate between 15 and 26 C at the moment
Have a look here for some pointers...

Thanks
They're a lot further along than mine! What variety are they?
This is a good guide on when they're ready https://youtu.be/TlsT-x19III
They are Magnun (small cones) and Columbus (bigger cones).
It's been a very sunny and hot summer in the North of Spain with a few showers every couple of week. Ideal conditions apparently.
Great clip, thanks.
I checked my hops tonight, v. moist yet.

Wow - nice to see how they'll turn out over the next few years! Have you made a wet harvest brew with these?
I haven't.
