Title: Only using half yeast packet,, Storage?
Post by: phelixoflaherty on September 05, 2015, 02:13:06 PM
Hello

Going to try a 10 lt Biab today and I reckon 4g yeast will do .
If I sanitise everything and am carefull can I just fold up the remaining yeast in the packet or is this futile and I should use the whole packet?

I've done it occasionally. just push the air out, fold it and wrap it in clingfilm.

Honestly I'd just use the whole packet! I've just started half batches etc and it just seems easier to use the packet!

Especially if f it's a lager, a full pack in a half batch would be great
